Our Story

In 1999, a young physician in training recognized an opportunity. Darwin Ang saw the future in mobile devices when he and fellow classmates were using first generation personal digital assistants at the point-of-care. These young physicians-to-be were discarding print references and opting for software installed to their mobile devices. Darwin recognized an opportunity to help the publishers of these valuable print references transition to mobile software. Darwin founded USBMIS, the parent company of Atmosphere Apps.

Our first mobile product was released in 2001. The Sanford Guide to Antimicrobial Therapy quickly became one of the most used and recognized mobile applications in the medical field. This put us on the map as one of the founders of mobile application development in the healthcare vertical market. Since then, we have created hundreds of applications for many mobile platforms. Today, we have longstanding relationships with many companies that have spanned a decade.
